I Am A Child Advocate who humbly and knowingly comes to the aide of these children as a volunteer CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates - and as a volunteer GLA - Guardian Ad Litem - a guardian appointed to represent the interests of a child in litigation. I fervently stay with these children until their cases are closed, guiding them through to safe new lives and into the homes of those Heroes of the Heart ... the Foster Parents and Adoptive Parents.
For many abused and neglected children, I am the one constant adult presence in their lives until they find their permanent homes.
This need speaks deeply to the Advocate's heart, as each year hundreds of thousands of children enter foster care in this country.
Because there are not enough of us to represent all of the children in need, Judges typically assign us their most difficult cases, which we welcome with open arms and hearts.
It is my intention to turn the spot light on our mission. I join with the many ordinary people performing extraordinary miracles in advocating for those children who need us most. ALL are welcome to join and extend our reach exponentially to Heal Today's Children.
