Response to "I know what MLM is, and it is great for a few and everybody else loses money" - from the Wharton MBA, CPA in the family. First of all, for those who think Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing companies (MLMs) are categorically illegal pyramid scams, go do some research. And I don't mean in Internet chat rooms. Read what a highly respected Harvard educated professor, Dr. Charles King, PhD explains that Network Marketing is the fairest of all business models. Read a one-page summary of his assessment of Network Marketing: https://www.networkingtimes.com/nt/authors.php?aut=800 Mary and I stepped away from a very successful beginning in MLM about 15 years ago because we did not see an opportunity for everybody else to benefit as we had. (Call us for the full story...) Historically, MLM companies have required new "distributors" to buy into one or both of two things:
There was never a place for those people who just wanted to "stick their toe in the water" and try the products without going all-in. Most companies we have looked at - and we look at every offer that (many) people have brought to us over the years - were promoting products that require people to change their habits in some way - none were a true substitution of a superior product for one that an average person was already using ON A DAILY BASIS. So, we have to agree that MLM has almost always been advantageous for a few and ultimately a waste of time and money for the many others that "catch the dream" but fail to do what is required to succeed, usually because what is required to succeed is very demanding and progress is often very slow. The resulting drain of people quitting the business creates a never-ending process of repeated challenge. The main reason we decided to investigate this company carefully was this: WEIGHT-LOSS COFFEE <this will be a graphic ...and we ultimately concluded that this company and this opportunity is different from anything we have ever seen before.
For the first time, anyone with a little extra padding around the middle can enjoy being a customer of the company. Just a customer, not a distributor, and they can get the benefit of a proven product that can give them the results they are looking for at 1/10 the cost of the currently most popular alternatives: NutriSystem, WeightWatchers, etc. And they don't have to change any habits or behaviors in any way. Anyone who wants to lose lbs and gain strength by just changing the brand of hot beverage they drink can quit the expensive and complicated eating plans, meetings and prepared meals, and go back to living their lives while enjoying a delicious coffee. AND, if they get results ...and tell three friends ...who do the same thing, they get to drink FREE COFFEE FOR LIFE! For the first time, there is a very low-cost solution to a chronic, long standing problem, which can easily be no-cost with very minimal initiative. There are those who will want to spend $30 more, just once, and become a Member, so they can even begin to earn a little money by telling people what they are doing. And $30 is not a big gamble. If nothing comes of it, they have spent less than a nice dinner out. For those who do succeed in attracting three others to become members (for $30,) they have 60 days to decide if they want to begin making even more money from their efforts. At that point, they've had two months' experience with the product and with sharing the product, and they will know whether or not it makes sense for them to invest an extra $429 and buy the "Builder Pack" and get 12 extra boxes of coffee to share and sell. Only they know if they can do something with it. No pressure, no huge up-front decision, no regrets. So, to those who say "I tried MLM, and it didn't work for me, so I've put blinders on;" I say this: you have made a decision before even looking, thinking and understanding what this is. Oh, and if you don't know what is meant by "perfect timing" in the growth of a company, we think this one is perfect. Call us if you want to know if we think the opportunity will be just as good next Spring as it is NOW (hint... "New Year's Resolutions: A. Reduce LBS; B. Make More Money.) |
