Re: A No-Cost Proposal to Address Social and Emotional Issues in Schools
First, I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge you for all that you do and for the positive difference I know you are making in the lives of so many.
I know that right now schools want to accomplish an improvement in academic achievement standards while dealing effectively with the social and emotional issues that are dramatically impacting an increasing percentage of our student population, all on an extremely limited budget.
My Make A Difference WEEK with Make A Difference with the Power of Acknowledgment UTrain® Program (MDPA) will accomplish that for you, and I am offering it to you at NO COST to your school district.
Make A Difference WEEK was created because Angel Carlton, the PTA/PTO President of Ford Middle School in Allen,TX, connected with me to ask if I had a "Make A Difference Week Curriculum" that she could recommend to her school.
She had created and initiated her own "Make A Difference Week" for two years running at her child's Middle School. Now that she was stepping down, she wanted her legacy to continue on. Because it had made such a noticeable and profound difference in the school's culture each year, she needed a packaged program to hand off to the school.
At the time she contacted me, I was already writing the Make a Difference with the Power of Acknowledgment Curriculum. After visiting with her, I quickly realized the value of a full week of Acknowledgment Activities geared to advancing student self esteem and Social-Emotional skills, followed by
3 additional weekly lesson plans and activities to help students discover their dreams and start setting life and career advancement goals.
I saw how much the students, parents, teachers, staff and the entire community would benefit from such a program.

Hello, fellow PTA Members, School Faculty and Staff,
As the former PTA President of Ford Middle School in Allen, Texas and the initiator of the "Make A Difference Week" concept two years ago, I can tell you the activities during this week altered the energy in the school, as random acts of kindness filled the halls and expressions of appreciation and acknowledgment were the priority.
Each year we did our "Make A Difference Week" in January, just after the students got back from the holidays, in order to start the New Year off powerfully.
The inspirational videos (one of which was Mary's Acknowledgment Movie ) that the students silently watched with emotion, made a huge impact, and the stories related directly to the activities that were asked of the students throughout the week.
I have observed troubled students transformed from the power of "Make A Difference Week" as they came to life by the simplest acknowledgment of their good nature from their teachers.
The purpose of this week is to demonstrate to the students new ways of making a difference in our world. These next generations are our future leaders, and the world is greatly depending on them to create a more peaceful coexistence for humanity.
It's crucial for kids to understand the important role they play in the world, and it's up to us to remind them.
"Make A Difference Week" is a fun-filled week that encourages students to be the "highest vision they have of themselves," to bring out the good in others, and to practice the power of acknowledgment, appreciation and kindness.
One week can truly make the difference in our world by impacting the lives of our children, as we empower them to be the positive role models and community heroes for the generations that follow.
Now this amazing, nationally-recognized educator - Mary Robinson Reynolds - has taken "Make A Difference Week" to the next level.
I highly recommend her Make A Difference with the Power of Acknowledgment WEEK Program to kick off the NEW YEAR as a way to create a tradition in building a caring and compassionate community of young adults in your school.

The Opportunity is NOW! Before the holiday celebrations are in full swing.
As you may well know, school budgets have been stretched for the 2013-14 school year, and that's why we here at Heart Productions & Publishing (HPP) want to offer to go out and get the funding for our Make A Difference WEEK program for your school.
We are looking for school leaders who want to step up and apply to be among the first round of recipients of my week long: Make A Difference with the Power of Acknowledgment (MDPA) UTrain® Program.
You read this correctly. There will be "no cost" to you or your school(s).
This is worth repeating:
We, here at Heart Productions & Publishing, will go out into your community and get the funding to bring the full program into your school(s).
We are looking for difference makers / leaders who:
==> know unequivocally that their student body needs Make A Difference WEEK program and want it to happen this school year!
==> want to make a statistically measurable positive difference within their school district and fully intend to advance their careers with their participation in this much needed and worthy endeavor.
5 Steps to be a Qualified Applicant:
Step 1: Click to Apply HERE
Step 2: Submit the application form at the application web page with a brief essay: Based on your understanding of our MDPA Make A Difference with the Power of Acknowledgment - Make a Difference WEEK - Program, what are the compelling reasons that your school should be selected to receive the full program at no cost?
Step 3: Download the Make A Difference WEEK Presentation Proposal PDF that you can print out to take to your school leaders who will need to approve bringing this in to your school(s). It explains the problem, the urgency and the solution MDPA program provides.
Step 4: Download the Agreement and have your School's Principal or School's District Superintendent select which Options are the best fit and sign it; this is the document that we must have in hand when we contact corporations and businesses to become your funding partners. This application also requires that you provide us with the list of vendors your school currently does business with, i.e., electrical company, phone company, teacher credit union/banks, etc. (page 2 of the agreement).
Step 5: Be willing to provide HPP with evaluations, scores and statistics gathered at the completion of the program.
If you are a leader in your school but are not the Principal or the Superintendent, you will need to go through the proposal offer with them. We encourage you to involve your School Psychologist, Director of Student Services and all other leaders who are interested in getting this transformative program into your school.
OUR #1 GOAL: We will reach out into your community to get funding in place, between now and December 31st, for your school(s) to launch Make A Difference WEEK in the Winter and Spring quarters of 2014.
Starting the New Year with Make A Difference WEEK can make all the difference in the world to how well students do on their Spring tests.
