Dear Difference Maker,
I'm just never down, depressed or disappointed in life any more. I suppose it's because the darkest times of my life were always consistently - instantly - remedied, by the practice of Giving. Whenever I felt down and out, collapsing into mental states of powerlessness, I learned the ONE thing that could pop me out of it, and that was getting out there and giving something to someone else.
In fielding calls and emails from people these past few months, I am struck by a consciousness in many that could be uplifted by the simple act of giving.
Certainly the Holiday Season is a time of giving material "stuff." The bliss hit is momentary, and it does not necessarily feed the soul... and that allows depression, apathy and hard times to linger on.
It is the gift of appreciation, acknowledgment, acceptance and helping someone out that creates inner miracle consciousness from which all good things can flow. All of which is minimal in cost in monetary terms and yet is the very thing that can shift one's energy up maximally!
Expansion (giving,) not contraction (withholding,) increases the likelihood of miracles in health, relationships and finances.
As you may know by now, we've published a "love bug" of an author, Jack Schlatter, whose book has 101 irresistible stories that really do warm one's heart...
But what grabbed us most about Jack as a person is his totally unconditional, consistent, and relentless acknowledgment of others... specifically the unsung heroes of our society.
Because this book has had its way with us since the middle of last summer, we thought, wouldn't it BE FUN & FEEL GREAT to get out in our community and GIVE IT AWAY to the people Jack has written tributes about?!
