Dear Difference Maker For you on this fall day, from the soothing words of author Kent Nerburn... Remember to be gentle with yourself and others. Each year as we travel up to the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire to see the fall foliage, I am reminded of Anita Baker's heart-opening song, "You Bring Me Joy." Every October 1 marks the beginning of the annual Pumpkin People contest in this area... it is my hope that they bring you as much JOY as they bring me! Area businesses and homeowners get into the fall foliage spirit and create unique, colorful and playful "pumpkin people" throughout the village of Jackson, New Hampshire and surrounding towns. There are pumpkin-fests all over the United States and Canada. If you live in such an area, make it a point to get out and enjoy a pumpkin celebration during this beautiful harvest season.
