A Note from Mary...
One of my husband's and my favorite things to say when things don't turn out exactly as we had envisioned them is, "There's got to be a pony in here somewhere!"
In researching the origin of this saying, I found out that it was the punch line to one of President Ronald Reagan's favorite jokes.
The joke concerns twin boys of five or six. Worried that the boys had developed extreme personalities -- one was a total pessimist, the other a total optimist -- their parents took them to a psychiatrist.
First the psychiatrist treated the pessimist. Trying to brighten his outlook, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with brand-new toys. But instead of yelping with delight, the little boy burst into tears. "What's the matter?" the psychiatrist asked, baffled. "Don't you want to play with any of the toys?" "Yes," the little boy bawled, "but if I did I'd only break them."
Next the psychiatrist treated the optimist. Trying to dampen his outlook, the psychiatrist took him to a room piled to the ceiling with horse manure. But instead of wrinkling his nose in disgust, the optimist emitted just the yelp of delight the psychiatrist had been hoping to hear from his brother, the pessimist. Then he clambered to the top of the pile, dropped to his knees, and began gleefully digging out scoop after scoop with his bare hands. "What do you think you're doing?" the psychiatrist asked, just as baffled by the optimist as he had been by the pessimist. "With all this manure," the little boy replied, beaming, "there must be a pony in here somewhere!"

EASY PLAN, AMAZING RESULTS
An excerpt from MasterMinding for a Rich Life
by Mary Robinson Reynolds |
We all have an innate need for spiritual connection,
and through MasterMinding we acknowledge God's working
in 'all' people, no matter their background or creed.
We strive for peace, love, harmony and good will,
that we may truly be living examples of what humanity can be. |
MasterMinding is not intended to be a religious philosophy. It is a vehicle that has the capacity to dissolve religious barriers. It is the superb way to bridge religious and cultural differences together at long last, and in that, bring spirituality into the workplace, home and our most important relationships with ease. There are some guidelines and instructions about how to go about it, but there is no sacred text or liturgy, per se.
MasterMinding is not aligned with any specific religious sect or belief system. It doesn't need any religious interpretation to have a powerful and miraculous effect on your life, unless you want it to. We all have a spirituality about us, a spirit within us. There is no denying that there is an intelligence in this world that is much greater than each of us. We were created from this intelligence, and we continue to be part of this intelligence every day.
In my diverse experience, working with corporate, entrepreneurial and spiritually-oriented audiences about setting and achieving goals, it has come to my attention that, not only do we tend to generalize about what we want, but we leave our inner spirit out of the equation. By doing this, we are minimizing the importance of what we want, and we will only let ourselves want and ask for what we think is possible, not what we really want in our heart of hearts.
People today are struggling with the weight of the world on their minds. MasterMinding is about how to have a truly rigorous spiritual workout for our soul following the less effort more results model. It's no fun feeling flabby and lifeless. We can lose spiritual, moral and muscle tone by doing nothing, or by trying to do it all alone.
MasterMinding is also not about doing it the "right" way. In fact it can heal you and free you from that kind of controlling, micro-managing, scarcity mentality, hopefully forever. MasterMinding is about deciding what you want your life to be like through your weekly soul check-in's, increasing your desire about it, and then receiving the approval of another, who will "agree to agree" with you on whatever it is that you determine you want.
My journey of over a decade has taught me about money and love and health as they relate to feeling rich, regardless of present circumstances or problems. Feeling rich in mind, rich in body, and rich in spirit and therefore, rich in manifestation. Rich, rich, rich!
Since I began MasterMinding, my idea of being rich has evolved. My experience of "rich" is, yes absolutely, about having money in the bank, having it always be enough, and continuously enjoying more coming in. Being rich means different things to different people, but I think we would all agree that in the world we desire as our experience, it would include being rich in relationships, health, money, fun, and free time - and not necessarily in any specific order.
And here's the greatest part of the whole deal, you don't have to do it all alone ever again.
