Dear %Member:CustomField1%,

By now all of the Welcome Back-To-School Fall Newsletters have been sent out informing parents and the community about each school's goals for the upcoming '10-'11 School Year. As I have studied a variety of School District's Strategic Plans across the United States, I see that continuous Professional /Teacher training and development is coming in last or second to the last in importance in many school district's targeted goals!

The Top 3 Concerns on most people's minds today, in order of importance are: #1 - Money, #2 - Health... and in last place #3 - Relationships. Interesting that we put relationships third (i.e., staff development and teacher training last) when the SYNERGY within our relationships IS the shortest distance to our school's financial needs and health goals.

How well we are doing energetically within our relationships is mirrored by how well our schools are doing financially. People who struggled in school and whose kids are also struggling with school, will not vote in favor of the additional funding most schools need and are dependent on. They will not show up or "give back" to their schools. It's ALL about relationships and reaching out to those who were lost in the school system generations ago. They are still having an exponential impact on the money issues today's schools face, because we are still not making our first priority connecting, reaching and teaching ALL students.

This may just be the biggest error we make in education, in our personal lives and in the lives of those we say we want to be able to reach and teach! It's ALL about the connection and the interest in wanting to learn whatever curriculum is provided that prepares our students to deal successfully with ALL of life's opportunities!

Having been a measurably successful classroom teacher, coach, counselor, and educational consultant who also expanded into business world as an independent speaker and trainer, I find it ironic - to this day - that while financially successful businesses put educating their people first, too many school districts still put coaching and continuously educating its Principals and teachers (in how to be effective with ALL students), in last position as a priority. At a time when we are losing so many kids to violence, drugs and suicide, we are still not working compassionately with teachers to learn effective teaching and engaging skills with 100% of the student population on a continuous basis.

It is essential to provide for collaborative time for teachers, sitting down together with a grade level team to talk about what's working, what's not, and to identify teacher attitudes and limiting beliefs regarding every student we are not reaching.

Getting together to learn the most effective ways to transform students, to hear each other's "attitudes" about certain students, and to work through those issues as a collaborative, synergistic team, makes all the difference in the world.

Principal trainings and meetings are essential to learn how to keep bringing best teaching (and attitudinal) practices to your faculty and staff. Principals must be instructional leaders if there is to be success for all students and teachers! Every successful business in the world understands this!

Superintendents must work with their Principals regularly to lead them successfully into the 21st Century. I'd like to site what the Superintendent of the Spokane School District is doing as my reference point of exactly what educating administration, faculty and staff must look like if we are to change the face of education. We can compete with the world in the 21st Century. Make Time to watch it at:

I understand that your school may not have the funding available to do what the Spokane Schools is doing... and that's exactly why I am offering my Team Synergy 101 as a pedagogical program you can take to your entire organization.

This week, my Team Synergy 101 Virtual TeleClass will better equip Principals to lead and Teachers to teach; to understand it is a Team effort and that more can be accomplished with synergy than without it.

Tomorrow (Thursday,) we are launching into Session 2: Connecting with Colors Personality Styles, and this is important for you to know because it is life-transformational information. This information is a foundational piece to working with today's challenging people and situations effectively and powerfully!

Today's student population is dealing with more life issues at early ages than ever before. Reaching the unreachable student is a skill. It must be taught to those we hire to teach and lead.

It's not too late to register, all classes are recorded and available as MP3s to expand your reach at your leisure.

I hope to see you in class!

Reaching out...
