Peg Bracken, author of "The I Hate To Cook Book" wrote: "Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."
LO Baird once said, "May no gift be too small to give, nor too simple to receive, which is wrapped in thoughtfulness, and tied with love."
It is a season of Awareness of those who do not find this time of year joyous. It is the time of year to be inclusive in authentic and mindful ways. Practice reaching out at this time of year so that it carries you forward through the upcoming seasons.
This Christmas story has been kept alive for over 2000 years to remind us that the pain of every labor brings with it new Hope and new Life at the darkest time of the year; the power of life, majesty of Love is miraculous.
Christmas may be not merry for all, but it is Holy. Reflect on what gives meaning. Light your candle so that it will shine upon the dark. Take the time to touch the faith of another human being ...if only for a moment, in this season of Love and Light... no gift is too small.
Make sure you turn on your speakers so you can hear the exquisite musical artistry of Dana Cunningham's "Once in Royal David's City."
Reaching out ....
