A Personal Message...

Do you feel like somehow, inadvertently you made a vow of poverty because of some pivotal, if not painful, moment in your life. Did you make a deal with God that you thought you had to make, to keep something bad from happening?

I remember when I did. After my first full-term baby boy died during labor, I was devastated. A year later during my second pregnancy, I had five early labor scares that landed me in the hospital for bed rest. I remember promising God that I would never again ask for anything more important than having this child in my life alive and well ...ever again! This, I would discover, had been my vow of poverty: I promise not to ever ask for anything ever again ... including money!

From that point forward, I would fight myself over every single need, want and desire I had, until I began to expand my knowledge about God and about the wealth of all good things available to me.

Recently, a very religious friend of mine, who has been struggling with money acceptance issues, told me about a significant insight she has had since watching our new movie: godwantsyoutoberich.makeadifference.com. Themessage in the movie has shifted her struggle around making money. She said that, when she was ten days old, she was sent away from her mother to live with an aunt for 5 years. She remembers that, after comng home to her mother, she made deal with God to let her stay with her mother for all time, and she would never ask for anything ever again. She now realizes that, every time she tries to succeed at business, that the little girl in her that made the promise rises up to keep her from monetary success i.e.,self-sabotage !

Promises like these, placed during times of great pain and fear, tend to stay in our psyches until we understand that God is unconditionally loving and intends for us to change our requests according to our knowledge.

God intends for you change your requests according to your knowledge. Make time every single day to expand your knowledge of God's love and abundance of all good things for you, because you have taken on so many fear- and guilt-based beliefs of others. These beliefs are very detrimental to your good, and therefore to your prospects of making a difference.

The Power of Your Words:  Leading Vision = Leading Language

I see three "statements of belief" in Sheila's languaging that act like a speed governor on her car, preventing her from excelling beyond certain set limit, keeping her dependent on something other than God.

1. I cannot find a job (in these economic times).
2. I know my age has a big factor in it.
3. I have been very patient with trying my best to get by with very little.

I am only going to give her one recommendation: LEARN SOMETHING NEW! There IS NO excuse to not be learning something new to expand your beliefs about what God will and will not help you with. God cannot give to you as long as you believe in these three things more than you believe that God is bigger than any situation you face. God IS giving you clues! The jobs you are not getting are jobs that you do not really want. So what do you really want? What is your passion? What lights you up like the sun?

No person, thing, or event can keep that from me which is mine by divine right.
