Dear Educational Professional,
I am always in communication with other educational professionals and authors whose work is making a tremendous difference in today's schools. Yesterday, I received an email from an author friend of mine who said that she had just gotten off the phone with a principal who is using her training material, but spinning her wheels trying to convince her district of the importance of relationships between teachers and kids. This principal is working with a supervisor who is trying to convince HER that anything other than curriculum and test scores is a "waste of time." (Her words.)
So much of what I do is centered around the concept that ALL classroom success is 100% about the connection between teachers and their students that I sometimes forget this: there is still an educational leadership "model" that thinks anything other than curriculum and test scores is a waste of time.
I can only think of what Einstein would have said about that!
The problems that exist in the world today cannot be solved
by the same level of thinking that created them.
As maddening as it is, the supervisors and administrators, i.e. those with the purse strings, who withhold the finances that they could find the money for IF they were motivated to, are not the problem!
The problem is when others allow themselves to be stopped by this. This reminds me of an SED boy in my junior high classroom at the start of the year. The "expert" Behavioral Specialist, "Mr. B" - who for five years had been 100% ineffective with him - informed me the boy was hopeless and a "lost cause." I could have accepted his "expert" assessment, and I could have waited for the school to adopt a school-wide Positive Behavioral Support program, OR I could do something about it. Focusing on the problem, the problem, the problem (i.e., people who still think that the relationship between student and teacher is irrelevant to test scores and is a "waste of time") keeps you in "the problem" ... so much so that you are unable to even see a solution that may be right in front of you!
The problem is not people who won't give you money to spend on programs that would actually impact 100% of your faculty, staff and student population positively; the problem is that you aren't looking away from the problem long enough to even see the solution!
SOLUTION: I'm giving you my 9-Week Curriculum! It's my GIFT... to anyone "in-the-trenches." It's effective, it works, it's been field tested with over 20,000 individuals in a 2.5 year period. It changes school culture and it changes classrooms. It changes anyone who simply uses it ONE person at a time. This is all about the Power of ONE person who simply does something different, regardless of those who continue to hang out in the problem , the problem, the problem!
While it is great to start using it at the very beginning of the school year, ANY 9-weeks will do! You can go right now and download 9-Weeks to a Make A Difference School Year as my GIFT to you to print out at:

FIRST THINGS FIRST: Use my curriculum and have success first. Make it measurable. Then you have something "concrete" to put in front of the people with the money for the programs you want to adopt school and/or district wide. Start where you are. Document what happens. This IS the only thing that ever changes old, worn-out, old-school thinking ... that ignorantly continues to expect what's not working to eventually work!
Reaching out to make a world of difference...
