When the Pain of the Past, Meets Fear of the Future
Do you have a lot of "in"decision going on? Many today are caught "in crisis" mode and running frantically about trying to make something happen, and happen quickly.
The last time I felt this way was back in 2004, just after we had made a major move across the U.S. from the west coast to the east coast. I felt an urgency to hurry up and make something happen. Everything I had implemented up to that point, while bringing adequate financial success, had not yet brought me the upper levels of financial success I had expected would have occurred by this juncture of my professional career.
The TV show, Judging Amy was still on at that time, and in one episode Maxine (Amy's mother) was in a similar life path reorganization and found herself in a very "stuck" and completely immovable place. Ignacio (Maxine's beau) said to Amy about Maxine's struggle: The only problem with your mother is that she is in a place where ....
The pain of the past is meeting fear of the future.
Here is an email, like so many we receive, of a successful entrepreneur, finding herself possibly "beginning over again" and also wanting "next level" financial success and security:

Good Morning Mary!
YOU make such a difference in my life.
I love being inspired by your writings.
I seemingly am on my own, pulled in many directions and too often terrified to spread my wings, feeling more like I am walking a plank or going out on a limb rather than spreading my wings to be who I am built as and meant to be.
Thank you for gently helping me to have faith and spread my wings a little more today and follow what I know my path is meant to be rather than falling in step with all the many who are caught "in crisis" mode, and frightening myself into "pick'in at the corn" and convincing myself that I should be doing what they are doing ... blanket the world with resumes, calling head hunters, running the millionth mile, rather than calmly and with focus just taking steps forward each day in my own creative work, knowing that this is what I am meant to do and that it will bring me through, in fact it will flourish and my life will too!
Thank you with a rich and grateful heart,
Creatively and Joyously yours,
Melanie B

Melanie,
Thank YOU... it takes spiritual muscle to remain calm and be quiet while your "divine" directions are becoming more and more clear...
In the TV show, 'Judging Amy,' Ignacio (Maxine's bo') once said to Amy about Maxine (Amy's mother) - when she was in a similar life path reorganization: "The pain of the past meets fear of the future."
This is exactly how I felt in the fall of 2004 - that so much of what I had tried had not yet yielded profitable results (pain) that I couldn't hardly face going forward to not succeed some more!... I kept putting one foot in front of the other, fine tuned what was at the heart of what I really wanted to have happen in my business, asking 'souly' for the "rich" idea ... and voilá ... I was lead to making flash online movies!

wow! thank you for this .... the pain of the past meets the fear of the future.... wow...my physical body is down today seemingly out of the blue, and this really brings clarity to what is happening.... how my physical creation is battling the underlying fear of living in faith. So I will soulfully ask for the rich support in addition to the rich ideas... thank you again.... your loving presence and support in my life do make such a difference! ;o)! *M*

Dear Mary,
I loved watching your "Make Your Own Luck" KATU-TV interview today whilst eating my lunch 4 pm here.
I will begin making my "why" list immediately. The "why" list is right on target.
I just came back from "shadowing someone" in a career I want to take on with State Farm Insurance, to see if it was right for me.... and then there you are having me make a why list... I love the synchronicity of it all.
Much love and appreciation..... (you looked great)
Creatively and Joyously yours,
Melanie B

Back to 2004
What I did was decide to go ahead and dig deeper into the "heart" of what I really wanted to have happen in formulating my requests and goals during our MasterMinding sessions.
I got even more specific than I had been about the results I wanted to have happen "easily and joyfully." Within a week or two of formulating several very specific "Rich Idea" requests, I was lead to - shown - inspirational flash movies, and within a month, we had our first flash online movie created and attracting in people who needed, wanted and were ready for exactly what my resources offer to those people wanting to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.
Here's another video I thought you might get something from today, from my Speaking Site.
People who are experiencing success regardless of anything else happening in the economy practice thinking three things:
1 - Know the power of "their" made up mind to create the rich ideas that will bring dreams into reality.
2 -Decide what they want and don't give a rip what anybody anywhere says is not possible.
3 -Know their "why?" and keep going back to it again, and again and again, to keep putting one foot in front of the other and going forward.
Reaching out to make a difference,
