If... You Drill Deeper!
In the realm of MasterMinding, you can too! Break the Rules! Drilling deeper will almost always mean that you will be breaking what you've believed up to this point are "the rules!" This doesn't mean be lawless. But while other's are zigging .... get out there and zag! If you don't trust the "flow" of inspiration when it's happening... if you don't trust your own Inner Guidance over what someone else might say or do... then what will you trust and believe in? How will you know to follow through on a Rich Idea when it comes? There is a philosophy that I love living by: Less Effort, More Results! The point of this principle in metaphysics is this: If it feels like work - it's overefforting. If it flows easily - it IS less effort, more results. And there are times when it flows and times when it doesn't. Take the action that goes with the inspired flow. Why be mildly prosperous when, by being mentally "one-pointed," you can be completely free from financial care, so that you will have time and money to develop other phases of your being that can be a credit to you and all mankind? Many today enjoy reality TV which can include sports as well as the TV shows that launch people's talents to the next level. Something to think about: are you watching other people achieving their dreams while "couching" your own? In 2004, our son BJ was graduating high school and had received a full ride scholarship to a college on the east coast. We decided, since our daughter was attending Harvard for her Doctorate (also receiving a full ride scholarship) ...we'd move from the Pacific NW to New England to be near them. At the time, I had reached a need to take my business to the next level. My husband had driven long-haul trucks during the four years I had come off the road from speaking to write my books and to be on deck for our son's high school years... and it was time for the business I was building to support us both, but I had not yet advanced my message and exposure beyond my first level of financial success. The day after our son's graduation, we put everything in storage, and I climbed in to that big rig to spend the summer on the road with my husband, while BJ stayed with his dad. Not only was I in a state of Divine Discontent with trying to grow my business, I was in need of something new! So, I learned how to drive an 18-Wheeler! That's right ... for the next three months and 20,000 miles, I drove along side my husband, a certified driver trainer, on the high-ways and by-ways of life. I could shift those 10 gears with the best of the fellas. Picture that! I got "flipped off" a lot during the early weeks of learning how to drive, but we both laughed because there you are, sitting in this mega massive vehicle, and you could seriously care less! I can not begin to explain how humongous those trucks feel to drive - but the power behind all that's happening is so incredible - I just get tongue-tied trying to describe the FEEL of it! I think every person, every woman certainly, should learn to drive one of those baby's! Truly... talk about self-esteem building, radiating and feeling the POWER of the moment! For about a month, I gave a lot of thought to not speaking or writing any more. There are lots of husband and wife teams on the roads today having a great time together. There was a ton of freedom to being on the open road. To not clean house, shop for food, prepare meals and clean up afterward. Your financial needs are very easy to manage with no mortgage and utility bills. The 2nd month, I began to tire of the sometimes dirty restrooms and greasy food. I felt myself shifting my thinking again, on the verge of wanting to get back to my business, but not quite. The freedom of the road was really quite seductive. It took a lot of study to pass the commercial driver's test and learn to drive and park that big rig ... and all the time I couldn't stop thinking that if I studied this much to learn more about how best to use the Internet to advance my work, I'd surely be financially successful sooner rather than later. The Power of 5: When Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen first launched their first Chicken Soup book, they sought the advice of Ron Scolastico, a wonderful teacher, who told them, "If you would go every day to a very large tree and take five swings at it with a very sharp ax, eventually, no matter how large the tree, it would have to come down. " Doing 5 things a day to advance my business, was something I could get my mind around. Learn More to Earn More. By the 3rd month I realized that I was an educator, and I had succeeded largely - up to this point - from my willingness to learn as I went, so why stop now? I knew from experience that a little bit each day, builds a vast reservoir from which your psyche can then be ready to allow in those Rich Ideas my husband and I were now MasterMinding for. While driving long-haul trucks had its "freedom" perks, it definitely was not going to answer the pull inside of me to get my message out there. I'd been MasterMinding for nearly 15 years at that point. I'd used it for health, for our children, for our marriage, and all of our financial needs. We didn't push our children to succeed. We MasterMinded for the success they told us they wanted. All 3 of our children ended up 4.0 students and each received full-rides through college. When our marriage hit a wall, MasterMinding reconciled us.
We drove back to Oregon to get our stuff out of storage. Now that I was a "professional" truck driver, I drove the U-haul across the United States while Craig continued to deliver freight. I arrived in Portsmouth on Sept. 1 and BJ flew in the next day to begin college. Drill Deeper. After I settled in to our new place, I sat myself down to study Internet Marketing with new interest. My husband and I were now cranking up our MasterMinding request process to ask for the easy way to implement "Rich Ideas" to bring him in off the road to join me in our business. He was off the road - done driving trucks - by Christmas. Through our weekly MasterMinding (via the phone) we were "brought" the Rich Ideas which began to generate exponential exposure and the financial income to support us fully through my writing and speaking.
Exactly 2 years after that, we bought our lake house! One day, after we were all moved in, I realized that the view out my new office window - at dock on the lake - is the same view as the photo I loved from lake photo in from the HGTV house in TX.
So... that's just the short version of the wonderful things that have occurred for me since that moment in 1988 when I first learned about MasterMinding and started working with it. I wanted you to know this part of my journey on this very special week that we all celebrate our country's Independence Day. With all of our kids out of the house, I knew it was time to advance my work. We MasterMinded to find an apartment "on the water" in New England. There may be many who might think / believe that it couldn't possibly be affordable for truck drivers. Through a series of events, we "accidently" landed in Portsmouth, NH one night after we'd delivered a load, and on our first drive through the beautiful port city - in the "big truck" - along the waterfront we saw a "For Rent" sign in a store window. Our new apartment looked out over the amazing harbor. The smells, the seagulls cackling, the view of the vast harbor, tugboats and big ships was breathtaking. We were going to live, literally, on the water front - affordably.
Side Bar: That same year, HGTV had given away a beautiful dream home on a lake in Taylor, TX. My husband, Craig took one of the photos from their website promotion that was looking down at the dock on the water and had turned it into a screen saver for me. I enjoyed looking at the view of the lake every day I began work at the computer.
